Our farm projects in Cameroon
10 hectares of cocoa and plantain on drip irrigation
Project details
The challenge
In the Upper Sanaga, Alain Cédrick MBANG grows 10 hectares of cocoa intercropped with plantain. A lack of water was slowing the young plants and making production uncertain.
What we did
JOGOO Agriculture equipped the whole plantation with a drip irrigation network to distribute water evenly to every plant.
The results
Water now reaches all 10 hectares evenly. The plants grow uniformly and the farm copes better with dry spells.

Tomatoes flowering in 2 weeks with drip irrigation and the JOGOO Fertilizer Collection
Project details
The challenge
In Bangangté, in the West region, Mr Rodrigue grew tomatoes on 1.2 hectares without an irrigation network. Water and fertilization were poorly controlled: plants grew slowly, diseases set in and the first flowers took about a month to appear.
What we did
Our teams laid a drip network over the whole plot so every plant receives the right amount of water. A JOGOO Fertilizer Collection programme was added: soil conditioner injected through a fertigation tank connected to the network, followed by targeted foliar sprays.
The results
Two weeks after installation, the plants were already flowering, twice as fast as before. Growth was vigorous and no disease was observed on the plot. Mr Rodrigue sums it up: “In 4 years, I have never seen anything like it.”

2.25 hectares of citrus protected from the dry season by drip irrigation
Project details
The challenge
On 2.25 hectares in Ngaoundéré, Dr HASSAN grows lemon, mandarin and orange trees. The dry season, insufficient water and a shortage of labour were putting the trees and the harvest at risk.
What we did
A drip network was installed to give each tree the water it needs while reducing the watering workload.
The results
The trees have less disease, flower regularly and keep green, healthy foliage. Water is applied precisely and the orchard copes better with the weather.

A 4,000 m² papaya plantation no longer dependent on rain
Project details
The challenge
In Mbankomo, a 4,000 m² papaya plantation depended entirely on rain. Chronic water shortage and unpredictable weather made production irregular, with losses in every dry spell.
What we did
JOGOO Agriculture covered the 4,000 m² with a drip network that delivers water to the foot of each papaya tree, including in hard-to-reach parts of the plot.
The results
Water is used without waste, the trees grow evenly and the plot produces steadily. The plantation has become a stable, more profitable production unit.
Project sheet
- Crop: Papaya
- Location: Mbankomo
- Area: 4,000 m²
- Challenges: Lack of water, unpredictable weather
- Solution: Drip irrigation network
- Results: Water savings, even growth, better profitability, uniform irrigation
Large tomatoes with the JOGOO Fertilizer Collection
Project details
The challenge
On 5,000 m² in the West, Mr Idrissou grew tomatoes that stayed weak: slow growth, underdeveloped plants and small fruit that fetched little at market.
What we did
Our agronomists set up a JOGOO Fertilizer Collection programme combining organo-mineral fertilizers and biostimulants to feed the plants and revive soil biology.
The results
Foliage became dense and vigorous, with abundant, regular flowering. The tomatoes reached a large size, the quantity harvested rose sharply and no disease was recorded on the plot.
Project sheet
- Crop: Tomato
- Client: Mr Idrissou
- Location: West Cameroon
- Area: 5,000 m²
- Challenges: Slow growth, small fruit
- Solution: JOGOO Fertilizer Collection programme

6 hectares of maize with well-filled ears thanks to the JOGOO Fertilizer Collection
Project details
The challenge
On 6 hectares in Mbandjock, Mr ESSAGA Yves was getting underdeveloped maize plants and poorly filled ears, which lowered the value of his harvest.
What we did
JOGOO Agriculture applied a JOGOO Fertilizer Collection programme whose organo-mineral formulations stimulate germination and improve nutrient uptake throughout the maize cycle.
The results
Emergence was faster and more even across all 6 hectares, with spacing respected for easier field work. Plants grew vigorously and produced well-filled, better-quality ears.
Project sheet
- Crop: Maize
- Client: ESSAGA Yves
- Location: Mbandjock
- Area: 6 hectares
- Challenges: Poor growth, average ear quality
- Solution: JOGOO Fertilizer Collection programme

3 hectares of citrus moved from buckets to drip irrigation
Project details
The challenge
In Mawi, near Ngaoundéré, Serge LONTSI grows lemon, mandarin and orange trees on 3 hectares. With no water supply, he watered his trees by bucket, slow and insufficient work that held back growth and output.
What we did
A drip irrigation network replaced hand watering. The available water is now distributed precisely and regularly to each tree.
The results
The time savings were immediate. The trees flower regularly, output is high and the fruit is juicy and sweet. The orchard is now more profitable and easier to manage.
Project sheet

Pepper and papaya on 6 hectares with no water stress in the dry season
Project details
The challenge
In Penja, one of Cameroon’s most renowned pepper-growing areas, Mr SIEKAPEN Tiani grows pepper and papaya on 6 hectares. Every dry season his plants suffered severe water stress: plant losses, a longer cycle and yields well below the land’s potential.
What we did
JOGOO Agriculture equipped the 6 hectares with a drip network that feeds the root zone of each plant regularly and automatically, whatever the season.
The results
Dry-season water stress has disappeared. Pepper and papaya grow without interruption, the production cycle is shorter and harvests are abundant. No plant losses have been recorded since installation.
Project sheet
- Crops: Pepper and papaya
- Client: SIEKAPEN Tiani
- Location: Penja
- Area: 6 hectares
- Challenge: Water stress in the dry season
- Solution: Drip irrigation network
- Results: No water stress, shorter cycle, good yield, abundant harvest, no plant losses
A 4-hectare pepper farm producing in every season
Project details
The challenge
In Mbanga, in the Littoral region, Jules runs a 4-hectare pepper farm. Pepper handles changes in soil moisture poorly: in the dry season plants died, the cycle dragged on and a lot of time went into hand watering.
What we did
Our technicians installed a drip network over the 4 hectares to keep constant moisture at the foot of each plant, all year round and without manual work.
The results
Plant losses have fallen sharply and the production cycle is shorter. With automated irrigation, Jules saves time and energy. The harvest is abundant and the farm produces at full capacity in every season.
Project sheet
- Crop: Pepper
- Client: Jules
- Location: Mbanga, Littoral region
- Area: 4 hectares
- Challenges: Dry season, lack of water, plant losses
- Solution: Drip irrigation network
- Results: Shorter cycle, time and energy saved, abundant harvest, fewer plant losses
Profitable vegetable growing on 2,500 m² without hand watering
Project details
The challenge
In Bangangté, Mr Djibril NGASSAM grows 2,500 m² of vegetables. Hand watering was irregular, needed a large and costly workforce, and could not make up for the lack of water.
What we did
JOGOO Agriculture replaced hand watering with a drip network covering the whole plot. Each plant gets the right amount of water at the right time, with no worker dedicated to watering.
The results
Yields are now good across the plot, with better quality vegetables. Ending hand watering cut labour costs and improved the farm’s profitability.
Project sheet
- Crop: Vegetables
- Client: Djibril NGASSAM
- Location: Bangangté
- Area: 2,500 m²
- Challenges: Irregular watering, costly labour, lack of water
- Solution: Drip irrigation network

9,000 m² of more productive papaya with irrigation and the JOGOO Fertilizer Collection
Project details
The challenge
In Galim, Mr Désiré runs a 9,000 m² papaya plantation. Two problems limited his sales: a recurring lack of water in the dry seasons, and fruit whose taste, texture and size fell short of the crop’s potential.
What we did
JOGOO Agriculture combined two solutions: a drip network over the 9,000 m² for regular, economical watering, and a JOGOO Fertilizer Collection programme to feed the plants better and improve soil life.
The results
Production rose clearly and water is used more efficiently. Above all, the papayas are tastier, better sized and firmer, which makes them easier to sell in local markets.
Project sheet
- Crop: Papaya
- Client: Mr Désiré
- Location: Galim
- Area: 9,000 m²
- Challenges: Lack of water, insufficient fruit quality
- Solution: Drip irrigation + JOGOO Fertilizer Collection programme
- Results: Higher output, optimized water use, better taste and fruit quality
Plastic mulch for a more productive pineapple crop
Project details
The challenge
In Loum, Mr SOP, a member of UNAPAC, wanted to improve his pineapple production. Without ground cover, water evaporated quickly, weeds competed with the plants and much of the fertilizer was lost before reaching the roots.
What we did
JOGOO Agriculture recommended and laid mulch film on the plot. The film keeps moisture at ground level, stops weeds from growing and helps the plants make better use of fertilizer.
The results
The production cycle shortened and yields rose. The soil stays moist for longer, weeds have receded and the pineapples make better use of fertilizer.
Project sheet
- Crop: Pineapple
- Client: Mr SOP, UNAPAC
- Location: Loum
- Challenge: Insufficient production quality
- Solution: Mulch film
- Results: Shorter cycle, good yield, less evaporation, moist soil, fewer weeds, better fertilizer use
+32% stems and +47% ears with the JOGOO Fertilizer Collection
Project details
The challenge
To measure the effect of its fertilizers objectively, JOGOO Agriculture ran a side-by-side trial on 1 hectare of maize: one plot fertilized with the JOGOO Fertilizer Collection, one control plot without it.
What we did
Both plots were managed under the same conditions and assessed on the same criteria: number of stems and number of ears produced.
The results
The fertilized plot produced 82 stems and 87 ears, against 62 stems and 59 ears on the control plot: 32% more stems and 47% more ears. Ears from the fertilized plot were also larger, better filled and sturdier.
Project sheet
- Project: Side-by-side maize trial
- Area: 1 hectare
- Objective: Measure the effect of fertilization on output
- Solution: JOGOO Fertilizer Collection against a control plot
- Fertilized plot: 82 stems, 87 ears
- Control plot: 62 stems, 59 ears
- Results: Large, well-filled, sturdy ears, good yield
Deep roots that stand up to heavy rain
Project details
The challenge
In the high-rainfall areas of Cameroon, poorly rooted plants fall over or are uprooted by water and wind. This lodging costs part of the harvest and damages its quality.
What we did
JOGOO Agriculture trialled a seed inoculant from the JOGOO Fertilizer Collection, applied at sowing to stimulate root colonization and encourage fast, deep rooting.
The results
Treated plants developed dense, branched roots that went much deeper than those of untreated control plants. Better anchored in the soil, they withstood heavy rain far better and lodging was limited throughout the cycle.
Project sheet
- Project: Seed inoculant trial
- Challenges: Plants vulnerable to heavy rain, poor rooting
- Solution: Seed inoculant from the JOGOO Fertilizer Collection
- Results: Dense, deep roots, better resistance to heavy rain

Cocoa pods one year after planting with drip irrigation
Project details
The challenge
In Ebolowa, Mr DJOAH Yves Thierry runs a young cocoa plantation in collaboration with IRAD. Dry spells slowed the trees’ growth, delayed the first fruiting and killed young plants, despite a lot of labour spent on watering.
What we did
JOGOO Agriculture installed a drip network that feeds each cocoa tree regularly and automatically, whatever the rainfall.
The results
The first pods appeared just one year after planting, a very short time for cocoa. Growth is vigorous and even, plant losses have fallen and watering no longer requires daily labour.
Project sheet
- Crop: Cocoa
- Client: DJOAH Yves Thierry, in collaboration with IRAD
- Location: Ebolowa
- Challenges: Drought, lack of water
- Solution: Drip irrigation network
- Results: Pods one year after planting, good growth, fewer losses, less labour, shorter cycle
2 hectares of chilli irrigated without daily watering
Project details
The challenge
In Bafoussam, Mr Jean Courgette grows 2 hectares of chilli. At that scale, conventional watering needed a lot of labour, cost a great deal and left some areas poorly watered, with plant losses and an overly long cycle.
What we did
JOGOO Agriculture installed a drip network over the 2 hectares that distributes water automatically and evenly to the foot of each plant.
The results
Labour spent on watering fell sharply and Mr Jean Courgette has time for other work. Plant losses dropped and the cycle shortened, giving earlier harvests.
Project sheet
- Crop: Chilli pepper
- Client: Jean Courgette
- Location: Bafoussam
- Area: 2 hectares
- Challenge: Conventional watering inadequate at scale
- Solution: Drip irrigation network
- Results: Less labour, time saved, fewer losses, shorter cycle
A 5-hectare citrus orchard restored by drip irrigation
Project details
The challenge
In Ngaoundéré, Mr Abdoul Aziz manages a 5-hectare citrus orchard for AGRIVINA. Under gravity irrigation, the trees lacked water and were drying out, and the system needed constant supervision without watering the plot evenly.
What we did
JOGOO Agriculture replaced gravity irrigation with a drip network sized for the 5 hectares, which delivers water automatically to each tree with no runoff losses.
The results
The orchard has regained dense, healthy foliage and vigorous trees. Water use has fallen and the teams no longer spend their days watching over the irrigation.
Project sheet
- Crop: Citrus
- Client: Abdoul Aziz, AGRIVINA
- Location: Ngaoundéré
- Area: 5 hectares
- Challenges: Lack of water, drying trees, inefficient gravity irrigation
- Solution: Drip irrigation network
- Results: Water savings, dense and healthy foliage
Large onions after leaving basin irrigation behind
Project details
The challenge
In Figuil, near Garoua, Mrs MAYOBE Christine irrigated her onions in basins. The land had to be ploughed regularly to move water between the beds, hard work that watered the plot poorly. With the lack of water, the bulbs stayed small.
What we did
JOGOO Agriculture replaced the basins with a drip network. Water now flows through the tape to the foot of each onion, with no ploughing or manual handling.
The results
The field is uniform and in excellent health, and the bulbs have reached a large size. Yield is clearly higher than with basin irrigation, and Mrs MAYOBE Christine has saved a great deal of time.
Project sheet
- Crop: Onion
- Client: MAYOBE Christine
- Location: Figuil, near Garoua
- Challenges: Lack of water, laborious ploughing, inefficient basin irrigation
- Solution: Drip irrigation network
- Results: Time saved, healthy field, exceptional yield, large bulbs
Heavier plantain bunches and a shorter cycle
Project details
The challenge
In Batchenga, Mrs Lysa BIANEN grows 1.5 hectares of plantain. Without irrigation, her plants depended on rainfall and produced small bunches.
What we did
JOGOO Agriculture installed a drip network over the 1.5 hectares to supply water continuously to the foot of each plant, in every season.
The results
The water problems are gone. Bunches are better developed and heavier, yield has risen and the cycle is shorter, allowing earlier harvests.
Project sheet
- Crop: Plantain
- Client: Lysa BIANEN
- Location: Batchenga
- Area: 1.5 hectares
- Challenges: Small bunches, uncontrolled water supply
- Solution: Drip irrigation network
- Results: Shorter cycle, no more water problems, good yield
Cucumbers, courgettes and cabbages protected from drought
Project details
The challenge
In Bafoussam, Mr Jean Antoine grows cucumbers, courgettes and cabbages, all thirsty crops. Dry spells slowed growth, and fruit stayed small and of average quality.
What we did
JOGOO Agriculture installed a drip network that keeps the soil moist at the foot of each plant, even during long periods without rain.
The results
The courgettes are green, fleshy and healthy, and some fruit reached 3 kg. The soil stays well moistened throughout the cycle and the plot’s yield is good.
Project sheet
- Crops: Cucumber, courgette, cabbage
- Client: Jean Antoine
- Location: Bafoussam
- Challenges: Drought, water stress
- Solution: Drip irrigation network
- Results: Healthy courgettes, moist soil, fruit up to 3 kg, good yield
10 tonnes of watermelon per hectare with drip irrigation
Project details
The challenge
In Foumban, Mr Ibrahim ADEWA grows 3 hectares of watermelon. He struggled to time watering to the crop’s stages, and some water was lost to runoff and evaporation, causing water stress as the fruit swelled.
What we did
JOGOO Agriculture installed a drip network over the 3 hectares, scheduled to the watermelon calendar, to keep constant moisture at the foot of each plant.
The results
Mr Ibrahim ADEWA harvested 10 tonnes of watermelon per hectare, with large, well-sized fruit and no water stress throughout the cycle. With automatic watering, his labour costs fell significantly.
Project sheet
- Crop: Watermelon
- Client: Ibrahim ADEWA
- Location: Foumban
- Area: 3 hectares
- Challenges: Poorly managed calendar, inefficient water use
- Solution: Drip irrigation network
- Results: 10 tonnes per hectare, large fruit, less labour, no water stress
Firm cabbages despite the drought
Project details
The challenge
Mr Roger grows cabbages, a crop that needs regular water to form dense heads. In dry periods he had to water by hand with many workers, without managing to water the whole plot evenly.
What we did
JOGOO Agriculture installed a drip network that keeps the soil moist at the foot of each cabbage, with no hand watering.
The results
Water use fell, the labour cost of watering disappeared and the cabbages gave a good yield, whatever the season.
Project sheet
- Crop: Cabbage
- Client: Mr Roger
- Challenges: Drought, laborious hand watering
- Solution: Drip irrigation network
- Results: Water and labour savings, good yield
